Nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers are in for a surprise as The Old Station at Snettisham has just been confirmed as the new starting point for an exciting twist on the famous Snettisham Spectaculars.
In an unexpected development, conservation experts and senior ornithologists have reported sightings of flamingos and penguins making an appearance alongside the usual breathtaking murmurations of knot and geese. These exotic visitors seem to have taken a fancy to Norfolk’s coastal charm and have made themselves quite at home on the mudflats.
Debbie and Martin Perry owners of the Old Station , commented:
“We’re absolutely baffled! Flamingos in Norfolk? And penguins? It’s highly unusual, but they seem to be thriving alongside our native species. We suspect the flamingos have been drawn by the stunning sunsets, while the penguins… well, perhaps they’ve taken a liking to the cooler British climate! Although we are delighted they have taken up residence here at the Old Station “
Local residents are already lining the platforms at The Old Station in hopes of catching a glimpse of these feathered tourists. The first “Flamingo Special” is scheduled to depart from Platform 1 at sunset, offering visitors a chance to witness this unprecedented phenomenon.
