In October 2024 we had a phenomenal few weeks of extra-ordinary astronomical events which could be viewed in Snettisham. We were lucky enough to experience some unforgettable sights both with the naked eye and capture on camera; these included the Northern Lights (aurora borealis), comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS and a hunters moon

Comet Atlas is massive in size and length. Its head currently measures a whopping two miles in diameter. The tail, which is largely comprised of tiny pieces of ice and dust, is believed to be as long as 18 million miles. It visits the inner solar system roughly every 80,000 years.
